ServerWiki.info is a new site dedicated to game server information for admins. It just went online so there is not a lot up, but hopefully that will change soon. Since serverwiki.org went down, there has not been one single website for game server admins to get information from.

Augsburg Ranked 5th in NCAA D-III Rankings

Going into the last week of the regular season, Augsburg's men's soccer team has moved into one of the most important rankings of all -- the NCAA Division III regional rankings. In the latest rankings released today, the Auggies are ranked No. 5 in the West Region. Carleton leads the West Region rankings, followed by Loras (Iowa), Redlands (Calif.), Whitworth (Wash.), Augsburg, St. Thomas and Chapman (Calif.)....

My Birthday!

Well, it's that time of year again. Yay... Not much going on, yesterday I got my new T-Mobile G1, Arsenal beat Fenerbahce 5-2, and Augsburg beat Northwestern College-Roseville 2-0. There were a bunch of great games in the Champions League yesterday, 36 goals in the 8 games, hopefully there is more of the same today. ...

CGS Pro-Am Registration Opens

The CGS has opened registration for Season 1 of the Pro-Am Division with leagues for CS 1.6, CS:S, and TF2. Registration is free for Season 1, which will have over $40,000 in cash prizes. Registration ends on September 3rd, with the league starting on September 10th until the playoffs start on November 7th....

DoD:Source BETA

DoD:Source is coming to the Orange Box engine soon. CS Nation has the scoop on the update and some of the achievements that will be released. There is no word yet on when the BETA will be released, but hopefully it will be soon. DoD:S will be the first Source game ported to the Orange Box engine, hopefully CS:Source will be right behind it....

TF2 Server Tags

I just saw this on the HLDS mailing lists, and it's something and people have been wanting out of the Steam server browser for a while. You will be able to apply different tags to TF2 servers so you can see which ones have changed friendly fire, respawn times, etc. Hopefully this will make it's way to other games that use the Steam server browser. "One of the things that customers have been consistently requesting from us a better method of finding game servers with the specific settings that they like. Some players want servers with friendly-fire on, or TF2 birthday mode, or 24/7 Dustbowl, and so on. Other players specifically want none of these, asking us how they can find servers with no changes. At the same time, we've watched as server operators have increasingly filled out their server names with descriptions of their custom settings."...

TF2 update on Thursday

On Thursday, February 14 at 11 am PST, all PC versions of Team Fortress 2, the class-based multiplayer action game named PC Game of the Year by Gamespy.com, will receive its largest update since the product was first made available on October 10, 2007, as part of Valve's best-selling Orange Box compilation. 2008 CGS Games

Championship Gaming Series™ (CGS), the only worldwide professional video gaming league, today announced its official four games for the upcoming 2008 televised season.
