ServerWiki.info is a new site dedicated to game server information for admins. It just went online so there is not a lot up, but hopefully that will change soon. Since serverwiki.org went down, there has not been one single website for game server admins to get information from.

Well, it's that time of year again. Yay... Not much going on, yesterday I got my new T-Mobile G1, Arsenal beat Fenerbahce 5-2, and Augsburg beat Northwestern College-Roseville 2-0. There were a bunch of great games in the Champions League yesterday, 36 goals in the 8 games, hopefully there is more of the same today.

The newest PC of mine finally arrived from Newegg and is put together. It was about time to upgrade my tower, but with the strafeRight LAN coming up, I decided to build a Shuttle to take instead of my Thinkpad. Spending a week gaming on the laptop would be OK, but I'd much rather have something a little more powerful.

TF2 Server Tags

I just saw this on the HLDS mailing lists, and it's something and people have been wanting out of the Steam server browser for a while. You will be able to apply different tags to TF2 servers so you can see which ones have changed friendly fire, respawn times, etc. Hopefully this will make it's way to other games that use the Steam server browser. "One of the things that customers have been consistently requesting from us a better method of finding game servers with the specific settings that they like. Some players want servers with friendly-fire on, or TF2 birthday mode, or 24/7 Dustbowl, and so on. Other players specifically want none of these, asking us how they can find servers with no changes. At the same time, we've watched as server operators have increasingly filled out their server names with descriptions of their custom settings."
