For the third season in a row, sR.css team begins the CAL season 2-0 and hopes to make it three straight seasons with a 3-0 start on de_inferno next week. This is the third season sR.css has been together and after a disappointing ending to season 5 as well as an extremely busy year for people in college, work and other life events, we realized most of us are not going to be around as to scrim and plan.
Read more »The CPL is pleased to announce the list of all past CPL 1v1 World Champions. The list for the CPL 1v1 World Champions dates back to 1997, when the CPL officially began hosting 1v1 tournaments with Quake. Tom “gollum” Dawson won the very first FRAG tournament hosted by the CPL. Dan “Rix” Hammans took the 1998 World Champion title by winning both tournaments featuring both Quake I and Quake II, our first multi-game champion. 1999 featured the emergence of Mark “Wombat” Larsen, who took the World Champion title by winning Ground Zero, the CPL’s first event in New York City as well as taking 2nd place at FRAG 3 in Dallas.
Read more »The online registration for the CPL 2006 Championship Finals, has been launched at https://www.thecpl.com/register/. For one week, only competitors participating in the two official PC tournaments (Quake 3 1v1 and CS 1.6 Team) are able to register online for the Championship Finals. The BYOC area will be relatively small, therefore competitors bringing practice computers to the event must select “BYOC” during the registration to avoid issues during check-in.
Read more »I just got a new job as an Operations Technician with Qwest here in Minneapolis. I should be starting sometime next week. Seems like a great place to work, and I’ll be doing similar work to what I did in the Army. After a few weeks getting started I’ll be working the night shift, which is always good.
